H.S. baseball recaps from May 20 and 21

The following are high school baseball recaps from Friday, May 20 and Saturday, May 21.  There may be updates, so please check back.

Jac-Cen-Del beat New Washington in a double header 9-0 and 6-1.

Kameron Darnold threw a four-hit shutout in game one with 10 strikeouts and had two hits of his own at the plate.  Teammates Justin Swinney and Landon Comer both had two hits and an RBI.  Ryan Wilson drove in two.

Swinney pitched a complete game for the W in game two and once again had a pair of singles but with two ribbies in this one.  Darnold also had two hits and one RBI.

The Eagles also lost 10-8 to future sectional opponent Trinity Lutheran despite a three hit, three RBI performance by Devin Grieshop. Comer also had three hits and Darnold posted two singles.

Milan defeated Switzerland County 10-2.

Dylan Thomas had three hits and three RBI for the Indians. He was also the starting and winning pitcher going four innings and striking out five.  Quenten Strassell and Caiden Yorn both had two hits for the Black and Gold. Yorn drove in two runs.  Strassel batted in one.

Bryce Turner and Cam Craig both booked two hits for the Pacers.  Craig doubled twice.

Shawe beat South Ripley 7-1.

The Toppers Jacob Hertz produced four hits with a double.  He also started on the bump and got W over four innings of work with six Ks.  Teammate Tyler Hill had two singles and a ribbie.  Philip Kahn doubled and drove in three.

Connersville lost 15-6 to Pendleton Heights.

A Spartan highlight in the loss was a three-run tater by Braxton Myers.  Chance Bentley added two hits.

CHS came back to blow out Seton Catholic 15-0.  Brayden Lykins pitched a three hitter with a dozen strikeouts.  At the plate, Lykins had a trio of hits and RBI to match.  Myers had two hits and two ribbies while Gavin Lynch doubled and plated two runs.
