Gregory Scott McDaniel, age 60, passed away on October 11, 2024. Born on August 18, 1964, in Batesville, IN, Gregory shared over 39 years of love and companionship with his wife, Tonya McDaniel.
Gregory was a man deeply connected to the world’s natural wonders, finding peace and happiness in the beauty that nature offers. Whether walking quietly through the woods, marveling at the beautiful open skies on a summer evening, or observing animals in their habitats, his love for the great outdoors was both profound and unwavering.
He will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his ability to find awe in the world around him, and his dedication to sharing that love of nature with all of his close loved ones. Gregory’s legacy is a loving husband and father, having the kindness, patience, and a deep respect for those he loved and with all of nature’s creatures.
He is survived by his wife, Tonya McDaniel; his two sons, Gregory McDaniel and Alexander McDaniel; his father, Robert McDaniel; his nieces, Kasey and Katlyn Neeley, Kerri Draeving, and Savannah McDaniel; his brother-in-law, Larry Neeley; and his sister-in-law, Tracy McDaniel. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sylvia McDaniel; his sister, Kimberly Neeley; and his brother, Jason McDaniel.
No memorial services are planned at this time. Gregory’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
