Greensburg’s Swim Team at EIAC

The Greensburg boys’ swim team finished second at the Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference swim meet at East Central on Monday night, scoring 243 team points. The host Trojans won the conference with 376 points. Jacob Hawkins, Tristen Hostetler, and Christopher Mains were selected to the EIAC All-Conference team. Hawkins finished first in the 100m butterfly and second place in the 100m backstroke. Hostetler won the 500m freestyle and finished second in the 200m freestyle. Christopher Mains was the winner in the 200m individual medley and finished second in the 100m breaststroke with the second-fastest time in school history. The boys also had several second-place finishes, including the 200m individual medley team of Jake Taylor, Jake Hawkins, Joe Hawkins, and Tyler Williams; the 200m freestyle relay team of Mains, Williams, Taylor, and Hostetler; and the 400m freestyle relay team of Mains, Hostetler, JR Frensemeier, and Jake Hawkins. On the girls’ side, Lily Corya was selected to the EIAC All-Conference team after winning the 100m breaststroke and finishing fifth in the 50m freestyle. The girls’ team also finished third in the 200m freestyle relay and the 400m freestyle relay.
