GREENSBURG, IN — The Greensburg Community School Corporation will switch to online instruction starting Monday, August 30.
In a notification to parents and guardians, Superintendent Tom Hunter writes student and staff absenteeism continues to grow because of the skyrocketing number of COVID-19 cases, and they need the 14-day period to get everyone back in school.
Hunter adds the last day of online learning will be September 10, with the return to in-person instruction slated for September 13.
Greensburg is the first Southeastern Indiana school corporation to convert to online instruction during the 2021-2022 academic year because of the high number of cases brought on by the Delta variant.
