(Greensburg, IN) – A Greensburg man is dead following a single vehicle crash on New Year’s Day.
The Greensburg Police Department says a Ford pickup truck driven by 64-year-old Raymond J. Lecher was northbound on State Road 3 near the Interstate 74 overpass around 11:12 a.m. when the vehicle struck a concrete median, rolled over and came to rest in the southbound lanes.
Lecher was taken to Decatur County Memorial Hospital where he died from his injuries.
The Indiana State Police Crash Reconstruction Team and the Decatur County Coroner’s Office assisted with the investigation.
Greensburg Police say the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office, Decatur County Communications, Greensburg Fire Department, Decatur County EMS and TDS Wrecker Service also provided assistance at the scene.
