GREENSBURG, Ind. — A Greensburg man was arrested was arrested on criminal rape charges, according to the Decatur County Sheriff’s Department.
Chase W. Hollin, 19, was arrested late last week after an arrest warrant was issued.
According to police, an investigation into Hollin began back in September when a woman and her roommate contacted police claiming that Hollin had raped the woman in her apartment as she tried to sleep.
Police say the two had a friendship that began after they met at her work.
Hollin was a guest in the woman’s home the night the incident occurred, according to police.
Police say the woman reported that she had declined the encounter with Hollin that night and told him several times to stop.
When police interviewed Hollin, he admitted that he heard and understood the woman’s refusal, but still engaged.
According to police he stopped when he realized that she was uncomfortable.
Hollin’s trial is set for April 12.
