Greensburg Library going fine free

Greensburg, IN— The Greensburg-Decatur County Public Library has announced that they will be going fine-free. This program started on Monday. Patrons are still responsible for getting materials back to the Library in a timely fashion as patrons will still be charged for lost or damaged items. If materials are 28 days overdue, the items will be assumed to be lost and the patron will be charged the cost for the replacement.
The library will be doing an amnesty and forgiving all past due fines, however, items that are checked out from other libraries will have fines and fees placed on them per that library’s policy.
If you have any questions about the new program, you can contact the library at 812-663-2826.
