Greensburg High School students in DC for inauguration

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A group of students from Greensburg High School are currently in Washington DC to attend today’s inauguration ceremony.

Krista Bauer, a student at Greensburg High School, gave an overview of what the group experienced on Thursday.

13 students and 4 chaperones are on the trip from Greensburg to DC.

The group was greeted by Representative Luke Messer (IN-06).

“It was great to see a group of familiar faces from my hometown high school today,” Messer said. “What a special opportunity for these young Hoosiers to travel to our nation’s capital and witness this historic event.”

Greensburg High School students on the trip to DC include: Tyler Able, Dallas Crank, Cameron DeWeese, Devin Hanna, Krista Bauer, Ellie Burkhart, Kjerstan Hess, Sierra Sailor, Samantha Carter, Brooklyn Jackson, Jennifer McGuire, Emma Overmyer and Rylie Smith. Joining the students are trip chaperones: Steven Tyler, Mary Lou Davis, Beverly Karazisa and trip coordinator Gary Bailey, Greensburg High School government teacher.
