Senior Genevieve Smith became Greensburg’s all-time leader in points scored in Thursday’s 2-1 loss to Franklin County at Shriver Field. Smith scored the lone goal for the Pirates off a penalty kick, surpassing Maddie Hellmich’s previous record of 97 points. Smith also is the highest-scoring senior ever, the single-season scoring leader, is the career leader in assists per season and most at tricks per season and in a career. In Thursday’s loss, goalkeeper Madeline Shrader saved 14 Wildcat shots on goal. The Pirates (7-5, 1-3 EIAC) are back on the pitch Saturday against Lawrenceburg. The match starts at 10 a.m.
