Greensburg boys tennis lost its opening match of the season Tuesday at New Palestine 4-1. Senior Karson Scheidler at 3 singles recorded the Pirates only victory 6-4, 2-6, 10-4.
At 1 singles, junior Bryce Stringer lost 1-6, 3-6 while at 2 singles, junior Abe Tebbe fell 2-6, 3-6.
At 1 doubles, junior Jeter Edwards and freshman Jack McKinsey lost 0-6, 1-6. And at 2 doubles, freshman Dan Fisse and freshman Reece Beaver were defeated 1-6, 0-6.
In junior varsity play for the Pirates, the sophomore duo of Addison Barnes-Pettit and Justin Adkins lost 0-8.
