(Greensburg, IN) – Two police officers received special recognition at this week’s City of Greensburg Board of Works meeting.
Officer Jacob Mays was promoted to Sergeant, while Allie Reismiller received the Meritorious Service Award during presentations by Assistant Chief Derek Fasnacht.
Mays joined the Greensburg Police Department in 2016.
He has served as a K9 handler for the past five years and has been a member of the Tactical Response Team for six years.
May is a Field Trainer and educates new GPD officers.
He has been the responding or lead officer on 6,322 calls during his time on the force.
Reismiller started her GPD career in 2023 and was assigned to the Criminal Investigations Unit last year.
During her stint with the investigations unit, Reismiller took on multiple assignments that were outside her normal duties as a Patrol Officer.
She researched and worked through those tasks, and successfully closed one of the department’s more high-profile cases in 2024.
