The Greensburg Junior High Cross Country Teams hosted the 2024 Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference Championship Meet on Monday night. The 2024 EIAC Team Champion Lady Pirates won the 8 team event with Batesville in 2nd and East Central in 3rd. The boys were the runner-up to Lawrenceburg.
The Greensburg Girls dominated the field by capturing 4 of the top 6 positions at the finish line. Five Lady Pirates earned EIAC All Conference Medals. Eleanor Davis led the Ladies with a 3rd place finish, while Madeline Risher placed 4th, Maria Scholle 5th, Lulu Webb 6th, and Hadley Davis placed 11th. Joining these five medalists was teammate Kate McNulty who earned a ribbon for her top 25 performance. All the Lady Pirates performed very well. Noelle Kern improved the most from her previous home course time by dropping over a minute.

The Greensburg Boys were highly competitive in their race with 4 guys placing in the top 14. The Pirates barely missed the EIAC Team Championship to the Lawrenceburg Tigers by just 5 points. Individual Runner Up Champion Jackson Tekulve was the first Pirate to cross the finishline. Joining Tekulve as EIAC All Conference Medalists were Jack Gindling in 6th, Oliver Corya in 12th and Kason Bedel in 14th. All the Pirates performed great. Miles Gill improved the most as he dropped nearly a minute from his previous best on the home course.
