(Greensburg, IN) – The Greensburg Fire Department is marking Fire Prevention Week with several activities.
Firefighters visiting local elementary schools through Thursday to explain firefighting equipment (pictured) and provide safety tips to students.
This year’s theme is cooking safety. Statistics show that kitchen fires are the number one cause of residential fires in the United States.
Firefighters will cap off the week with the popular Fire Prevention Week Chili Supper from 4-7 p.m. Friday at Fire Station 1 on Ireland Street. Free will donations will be accepted.
