Gerald Duane Peterson, 92, of Lawrenceburg passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Ridgewood Health Campus in Lawrenceburg. Gerald was born to Carey and Anna (Jepesen) Peterson on Wednesday, November 14, 1928 in Emmons, Minnesota. Gerald married the love of his life, Eva Parriott and she preceded him in death in 2009. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Canby, Minnesota. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War Conflict. Gerald was a state trooper for the state of Minnesota for 28 years. He served as a volunteer fireman, a scout master, and was a VFW member in Porter, Minnesota. He was a farmer and enjoyed traveling.
Gerald is survived by his sons Gene (Linda) Peterson of Kingsford, Michigan, Jon (Janet) Peterson of Sylacauga, Alabama, Jeff (Karen) Peterson of Dillsboro, and Jack (Tahlie) Peterson of Phoenix, Arizona; brothers Wyman Peterson of Wisconsin and Wendal Peterson of Minneapolis; ten grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carey and Anna, wife Eva, and three sisters.
