Gene Stogsdill, 48, of Whiteland, IN passed away Monday, September 16, 2024 at St. Francis South in Indianapolis with his loving family by his side. Gene was born on Tuesday, June 29, 1976 in Indianapolis; son of Colin and Carolyn (Stogsdill) Bolt. Gene married his loving wife, Misty (nee Hubbard) Stogsdill, on October 21, 2007. Gene worked for Allison Transmission as an assembler. He was a member of the Local Union UAW #933. Gene loved music, low-rider cars, football, Indianapolis Colts and was an Ohio State Fan. He enjoyed being outdoors, whether he was fishing or shooting. He loved his country, spending time with family, and friends.
Gene will be missed by his wife, Misty Stogsdill and son Tyler Stogsdill of Whiteland; Father Colin Bolt of Indianapolis; and brother Chris (Katie) Bolt of Indianapolis.
Gene was preceded in death by his mother Carolyn (Stogsdill) Bolt and daughter Faith Stogsdill.
Family and friends may gather in remembering Gene from 10 AM – 12 PM Saturday, September 21, 2024 at the Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan. A service will immediately follow at 12 PM with Pastor Tim Osborne officiating. A burial will follow at Cliff Hill Cemetery in Versailles. Memorials may be given in memory of Gene to SIDS research or the American Cancer Society.
