BATESVILLE – The City of Batesville Water and Gas Utility is conducting a gas leak survey through the remainder of the week.
City Gas Manager Scott Bauer said surveying is conducted each year and will occur for the next three or four days.
“It is just an annual maintenance item we do. We take an instrument over gas lines to check for any underground leaks,” Bauer said. “We just like to let the people know and give them a heads up on what is going on”
The gas leak survey is taking place on Pearl Street and south and also around S.R. 229.
