Gary L. Walston, 74, of Milan passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Manderley Health Care Center in Osgood. Gary was born on Monday, August 6, 1951, in Milan; son of Marvin and Mary (Fogel) Walston. Gary worked as a staff representative for United Steel Workers. He married the love of his life, Star (Ross) Walston, on February 14, 2002, and she survives him. Gary enjoyed playing music and especially loved playing guitar. He loved tinkering on things such as restoring antique cars and enjoyed going to car shows. He enjoyed cigars, motorcycles, playing chess, and trading items.
Gary will be missed by his wife Star Walston of Milan; sons Gary (Lori) Walston of Indiana, Sean Walston of Indiana, and Nathan (Denise) Foster of Ohio; daughters Holly (Travis Draper) Lozier of Indiana and Grace (Christopher) Irvine of Virginia; many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents Marvin and Mary Walston; brothers Terry, Larry, and Cecil Walston; and sister Roberta Robertson.
Family and friends may gather in remembering Gary from 9:00-11:00 AM, Monday, August 25, 2025, at the Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan. Services will immediately follow at 11:00 AM with Rev. Christopher Irvine officiating. Memorials may be given in honor of Gary to the family or American Diabetes Association.
