Garry Wayne Thomas, 62, of Sunman passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Dearborn Hospital in Lawrenceburg. Garry was born on Thursday, January 1, 1959 in Milan, the son of Price and Lila Mae (Jerrell) Thomas. Garry proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force for more than 20 years before retiring. He worked for Hill-Rom as a machinist. Garry was a member of the Sunman American Legion and the Sunman Fish and Game Club. He enjoyed being outdoors, where you could often find him fishing, hunting, and camping, but his greatest passion in life was spending time with his family.
Garry is survived by his wife Loeta Wilson of Sunman; son Justin Thomas of West Harrison, Indiana; brothers Dennis (May) Thomas of Sunman and Danny (Heather) Thomas of Milan.
Garry is preceded in death by his parents, Price and Lila Mae, brothers Darrell Thomas, Larry Thomas, and Raymond Thomas, sisters-in-law Susanne Thomas and Brenda Thomas.
Family and friends may gather in remembering Garry from 9 – 11 AM Monday, November 8, 2021 at the Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan. A service will immediately follow at 11 AM with Pastor Tom Holt officiating. Full military rites provided by the Sunman American Legion Post #337. Memorials may be given in honor of Garry to the American Heart Association.
