Franklin Daniel Stephens, 83 (Updated)

Franklin Daniel Stephens, age 83, of Sunman, Indiana, went to be with the Lord on February 21, 2024, surrounded by love, peacefully at home. Born in Scott County, Tennessee, he was the son of Robert Sr. and Elizabeth Stephens.  Frank was saved in 1964 and was most recently a member and deacon of Gloryland Missionary Baptist Church in Cleves, Ohio.

Franklin was a 32nd-degree Master Mason of the 346 North Bend Masonic Lodge, in Cincinnati, Ohio; a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite and a member of the Syrian Temple of the Shriners

In addition to his parents, Robert Sr. and Elizabeth Stephens, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Robert Stephens, Jr. and wife Edith; Elmon Stephens and wife Kathleen; Paul Stephens and wife Orpha; Rannie Stephens and wife Gertie; sisters, Flora Stephens and husband Jennings, Beulah Vanlandingham and husband Art; sisters-in-law Ima Jean Stephens, Diane Stephens, and Judy Stephens; and brother-in-law Paul Waldroup.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Wilma Betty (Welch) Stephens; two daughters: Tammy Mae (Stephens) Hoffman and husband Greg, and Fawn Delores (Stephens) Williamson and husband Terry; grandchildren: Danny Hoffman and wife Jennifer; Tiffany Kincer and husband Justin; Kyle Hoffman and wife Kim; and Jordan Williamson; nine great-grandchildren; sister Myrtle (Stephens) Waldroup; brothers Carl Stephens, Herbert Stephens and wife Janet, Lloyd Stephens and wife Martha, Joe Stephens and wife Jackie, and Clyde Stephens. He also leaves many special nieces, nephews, and other family members.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Margaret Mary Hospice by bringing to the services or mailing to Meyers Funeral Home, P.O. Box 202, Batesville, IN 47006.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 24, 2024, from 1-3 pm with funeral services immediately following at 3:00 pm all at Meyers Funeral Home, 1150 St. Rd. 46 E, Batesville, IN. A masonic service will be prior to visitation at 12:30 pm.  Burial will be Sunday, February 25, 2024 at 1:00 pm in  the New Haven Cemetery, Oxford Rd., Harrison, OH.
