The principal of Franklin County High School has resigned after previously admitting to plagiarizing a graduation speech.
A special meeting was held Thursday night and the school board unanimously agreed to accept the resignation of Dr. Kent Grider.
Grider admitted that he recited a speech by Johnathon E. Martin titled “I Love Indiana Jones” during the graduation ceremony on June 8.
In a letter to the editor published in The Brookville American-Democrat and Franklin County Observer, Grider said it was not his intent to take credit for the speech but rather inspire the graduating seniors. He apologized for not properly referencing the author of the speech.
