Franklin County Girls Basketball won both of its games on opening weekend.
The Wildcats were down 10 to visiting Rising Sun after the first quarter but rallied to beat the visiting Shiners 51-45.
Kassidy Schell had 17 points to lead the Cats in scoring and Josie Rolfes recorded a double double with 12 points and 14 rebounds.
Alyssa Simpson of Rising Sun had a game-high 19 points while Baylee Morris did a double dip with 12 points and 10 boards.
And on Saturday, the Brookville ladies were again down 10 in the first quarter at Madison but ended up beating the Cubs by 10, 58-48.
Rolfes turned in 20 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and Tiffany Billman had a great defensive game, holding Madison’s top player to just two points.
