Franklin Co. Deputies Complete Law Enforcement Phlebotomy Training

(Franklin County, IN) – Two Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies have successfully completed the Law Enforcement Phlebotomy Course.

Jason Robinson and G. Dakota Huntsman went through rigorous training consisting of classroom instruction, practical examinations, and clinical hours.

Deputies Robinson and Huntsman are now qualified to perform law enforcement-related blood draws in specific circumstances.

The program is offered by the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute in partnership with Vincennes University, with support from the Indiana State Department of Health and the Indiana State Department of Toxicology.

“Having two deputies certified in law enforcement phlebotomy means faster, safer, and more efficient service right here in Franklin County,” said Chief Deputy Gregory Mehlbauer. “This training strengthens our department and benefits the entire community.”
