Franklin County Boys Soccer can’t contain Lions

Rushville Boys Soccer put up eight first-half goals en route to a 13-4 win at Franklin County Tuesday.  The final was 13-4.

“Conditions were not ideal,” said Rushville coach Eric Wagner.  “A constant rain throughout the game made for a soggy field.”

The Lions did built an early lead with Artiz Gomez scoring in the first minute of the match. Soon after, Gomez and Carter Tague each scored three more goals, and Matthew Clark found the back of the net too, making it 8-0 at half.

The second half saw the Lions strike first when Jesus Leon passed to Jackson Tracy within the first two minutes.  The Wildcats got on the scoreboard with a goal and then a penalty kick making it 9-2.  Nathan Dora and Tague responded with a pair of goals, but Franklin County continued to battle with a two goals making it 11-4.  Leon and Tague both scored near the end of the game for a final score of 13-4.

Franklin County scoring was not reported.

Rushville reported stats:
