Francis L. Williams, 91

Francis L. Williams, 91 of Greensburg, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2020. Francis was born on January 1, 1929 in Columbus, the son of Clay and Pearl (Cox) Williams. He married Mable Bruner on March 1, 1951 in Greensburg and she preceded him in death on May 1, 2017.
Survivors include his three daughters Brenda McKibben of Greensburg, Deborah Wolfe of Oregon and Anna (Thomas) Konnersman of Oldenburg; nine grandchildren – Danny Wolfe, Chi Welsh-Hamilton, Somer Welsh-Hart, Lori Rennekamp, Rachel Wamsley, Suzanne Konnersman, Paul Konnersman, Elizabeth Konnersman and Hillary Konnersman; and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 66 years; four brothers – Robert Williams, Baker Williams, Clay Williams Jr. and Delvin Williams; and one sister Viola Ficher.
Francis worked as a tool and die maker at Bohn Aluminum for 38 years. After retirement he managed the Versailles State Park Horse Barn, providing trail rides for visitors. Francis was an avid horseman who went to the horse sale in Rushville every Tuesday. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycles. He was a member of the Tree City Pony Trotting Association and the American Legion.
A graveside service will be held for the family at South Park Cemetery. The funeral service will be available for friends to view on the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home Facebook Page on Friday, September 11, 2020 at 10am.
