Francis “Bud” Otto Perdue, 84

Francis “Bud” Otto Perdue, 84, of Greensburg, Indiana, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.
Born on December 18, 1940, in Bradford, Ohio, Bud was the son of Sam Perdue and Annabelle Brumbaugh. He spent much of his career as a driver for the Muncie Bread Co., where he worked faithfully until his retirement in 1991. Never one to stay idle, Bud went on to share his talents with Mi-Tech Steel, and Green Sign Co. His strong work ethic, kind spirit, and quiet dependability left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of working alongside him.
Bud was a proud member of Piqua Boat & Ski Club, American Legion, and trustee at the Eagles, valuing the fellowship and sense of community those organizations offered. He cherished the friendships he built over the years and was always ready with a warm smile, a helping hand, or a quick-witted remark.
He was married to the love of his life, Rose Perdue, with whom he shared many joyful years filled with laughter, dancing, adventures, and unwavering love. Bud’s greatest joys came from simple pleasures—snowmobiling, water skiing, waterski kite flying, traveling, trips to the casino, and especially spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, who brought immense happiness to his life.
A devoted father, Bud once coached his children in youth baseball and remained active and athletic throughout his life—even barefoot water skiing. He loved discovering new places and making memories on the road, embracing life with quiet enthusiasm and grace.
Bud will be remembered for his giving heart, gentle strength, and unwavering dedication to his family and friends. His legacy of love, humor, and hard work will live on in the many lives he touched.
Bud is survived by his wife, Rose Perdue; children, Rick (Mandy) Perdue, Ryan (Melissa) Perdue, and Shawn (Sarah) Green; Grandchildren, Logan (Kate) Perdue, Luke (Chelsi) Perdue, Lillie (Charlie Healy) Perdue, Samatha Perdue, and Parker Perdue; great grandchildren, Eli Grayson Perdue and Caroline June Perdue; sister, Norma Jean Strohmenger; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandma, E. Myrtle Wood, parents, Samuel and Annabelle; and son, Michael Green.
