(Milan, IN) — Milan Dollars for Scholars surprised four Milan High School seniors surprised Monday morning when those students were announced as recipients of the prestigious Mortara Family Scholarship.
Jocelyn Allen, Ariel Haessig, Josie Havlin, and Taylor Williamson will each receive up to $10,000 per year of their four-year college experience.
The students’ families were present at school to join in the surprise celebration.
The Mortara Scholarship is awarded annually to four outstanding Milan seniors who complete a rigorous application process.
Milan Dollars for Scholars administers this scholarship as well as many others which will be awarded to deserving seniors at the annual Awards Night program on Wednesday, May 3, at 6:30 pm in the Milan High School Cafetorium.
