BATESVILLE, Ind. – Meteorologists are predicting this winter will not be as brutally cold and snowy as the last. Let’s hope they’re forecasting that right.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said in their seasonal outlook that precipitation chances are below-average for the Midwest.
A repeat of that extreme pattern is unlikely this year, forecasters said.
The winter temperature outlook is still too far out for meteorologists to accurately determine.
The Farmer’s Almanac annual weather summary estimates winter will be much colder than normal with less precipitation but above average snowfall.
Guess we will all see in the coming months.
