The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a Flood Warning for the Ohio River at Cincinnati from Tuesday afternoon until further notice.
At 11 am on Monday, the stage was 47.6 feet. The flood stage is 52.0 feet for the Ohio River. The river is expected to rise above flood stage early Tuesday afternoon and continue rising to a crest of 54.5 feet Thursday morning.
At 54.0 feet, backwater flooding spreads up the lower Little Miami River. Low-lying areas near State Route 56 and Water Street near Aurora, Indiana also will be affected.
