LAWRENCEBURG, Ind. — Multiple first responder agencies in Dearborn and Ohio counties have completed training for the Crisis Intervention Team of Dearborn and Ohio Counties.
The training prepares first responders how to handle a mental health crisis.
The training covers extensive topics on mental illnesses including addictions, legal issues, de-escalation techniques, and role playing mental health crisis situations.
Residents in Dearborn and Ohio counties may now call 911 and request a CIT officers when dealing with a mental health issue.
