(Milan, IN) – There were no injuries reported following a house fire on the 300 block of Ellis Street in Milan over the weekend.
Firefighters arriving on the scene found heavy smoke coming from the home.
Crews from the Milan, Delaware and Sunman volunteer fire departments were able to get inside and quickly knock down the flames.
Damage was contained to a small area of the home.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Officials say the initial response time was very quick because the Milan Fire Department was participating in the town’s annual Christmas Walk.
