Burney, in. — The feed mill building at Smiley Farms in the Burney area was destroyed by fire Monday night.
A report from the Burney Fire Department responded to the farm at the corner of County Road 700 West and 100 South at 9:36 p.m. No injuries were reported. Damage has been estimated at $1 million. The state fire marshal has ruled the cause of the blaze as electrical.
Smiley Farms and Maria Mauer were a candidate for “2017 Pig Farmer of the Year.”
