(Statewide) – Indiana DNR says the final Free Fishing Day of the year is September 27.
On Free Fishing Days, Indiana residents do not need a fishing license or a trout/salmon stamp to fish the state’s public waters.
However, all other rules, such as seasons, bag, and size limits, apply.
DNR adds that if you already have your annual fishing license, Free Fishing Days present a perfect opportunity to take along family and friends who haven’t gone before.
