Columbus, IN—A social media post from a resident in Columbus has several residents in the city in an uproar.
According to the Columbus Police Department, There is a social media post being shared online in regards to an abduction or kidnapping of a little girl in Columbus on Wednesday. They say this information is false. There have been no reported child abductions in Columbus according to the police department.
CPD was investigating a report of a domestic disturbance/battery between two adults involving a red van or SUV in the parking lot of Captain D’s on National Road and a second location earlier today. However, this case did not involve a child.
The person that made the original post has gone on to say that it’s not a false post. This person goes on to say her original post states that her daughter and friends never made a claim to seeing the girl/female in question that was screaming for help. She alleges that they didn’t assume it was a youth until one of the kids in the group that witnessed the ordeal received a call back from dispatch that allege the caller told them there was a report of a little girl being put in a similar ran earlier that morning.
