Erma J. Wilson, of Metamora, was born on June 10, 1928 in Connersville, Indiana, a daughter to Forrest and Ethel Trueblood McKee. She married Cecil Wilson, and he preceded her in death on November 2, 2001. Erma and her husband were pastors at Haytown Hill Pentecostal Church, serving their community for many years. She enjoyed spending time with youth and cleaning her house. Erma had a welcoming heart and loved to carry a conversation. On Thursday, May 15, 2025, at the age of 96, she was welcomed with open arms into Heaven.
Those surviving who will cherish Erma’s memory include her daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Dale Lanning of Connersville, son and daughter-in-law, John and Mona Brummett of Metamora and son, Dan Wilson of Metamora, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Jack Brummett; stepchildren, Carol Ison, Bill Wilson, Junior Wilson, Sammy Wilson, and Wilma Allen. She was also preceded by 4 sisters, Linda Isaacs, Donna Wilmer, Mary Dyer, and Clara McKee.
Friends and family may gather and remember Erma on Monday, May 19, 2025, from 10 a.m. until 12 noon at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville. Brother Glen Goins will officiate the service at the funeral home at 12 noon and burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
