Enrollment open for Kenzie Academy spring cohort

Indianapolis, In. — Kenzie Academy, a cutting-edge tech apprenticeship and coding school that focuses on accelerated, project-based learning, is now accepting applications for their on-campus and online spring cohort. The innovative tech training programs offered by Kenzie focus on hands-on learning and allow students, both young and old, to obtain a certificate, co-granted by the Butler Executive Education, in their field of study in as little as six months to one year. Kenzie Academy exists to create a pipeline of highly-talented technology professionals that employers want to hire and help spur Indiana’s tech sector forward.

“We are excited to announce that applications are open for our spring cohort,” said Chok Ooi, Co-founder and CEO at Kenzie Academy. “In April, we will welcome new faces to our program and within one year, these same faces will be working in careers as developers, designers and digital marketing professionals. At Kenzie, we are proud that our unique approach to education is making a difference in the communities that we serve and placing students in the aspirational careers that happen to be in high-demand.”

Students enrolled at Kenzie graduate in less than half the time of a traditional degree programs. They also spend more time solving real-world problems and building practical applications for businesses. There are no lectures because all learning is done through experiential learning with teachers who have previous experience at companies like Microsoft, Google and LinkedIn.

“We know that through our hands-on learning model, we are providing our students with the technical skills, mindset, and confidence needed to launch a rewarding career in technology,” said Ooi.

Several scholarships specific to Kenzie Academy are available to students as well as an Earn-and-Learn program, which enables students to earn a paycheck with remote, part-time jobs that fit around their class schedule. Students can expect to pay approximately $24,000 for the program, before any scholarships or aid, which can be covered up-front, in a payment plan or through an income share agreement (ISA). With an ISA, students are only responsible for $100 upfront and don’t pay any tuition until they land a job earning at least $40k.

“At Kenzie, our payment options are a testament to our commitment to deliver accessible and affordable training to all students – regardless of their financial background,” said Ooi.

Deadline to apply for the spring cohort is April 7. For more information about the academy click here.
