Enhanced fire danger in Southeastern Indiana this afternoon

(Southeastern IN) – The National Weather Service says the area is under an Enhanced Fire Danger this afternoon.

Forecasters say a combination of a very dry atmosphere and low fuel moisture has increased the fire danger. Isolated wind gusts will also be possible.

If you take part in outdoor burning, use extreme caution since fires can quickly get out of hand under these conditions.

Meanwhile, Franklin County remained under a countywide burn ban, as of late Wednesday morning.
