Elvera Ann Seevers, age 94 of Sunman

Elvera Ann Seevers, of Sunman, was born on January 31, 1931, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Loving daughter of Clem and Mary Feist Lipps. On July 28, 1956, she married Lester Paul Seevers at St. John Lutheran Church – Hubbell’s Corner, sharing over 60 years of marriage together. During her working time, she was employed at McPhersons located in Sunman. Elvera was a faithful member of St. John Lutheran Church – Hubbell’s Corner, often being involved in many church activities. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling and visiting with family, crocheting, cooking wonderful meals, and birdwatching. On Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at the age of 94, Elvera passed away peacefully with family by her side at Ridgewood Health Campus in Lawrenceburg.

Those surviving who will cherish Elvera’s memory include her daughter, Barbara (Jeffrey) Meyer of Leesburg, VA; two grandsons, Nicholas (Elinor) Meyer of Bainbridge Island, WA and Kyle (Ashleigh) Meyer of Dallas, TX; two great-grandchildren, Kendall and Pearson Meyer; two sisters-in-law, Betty Webb of Lawrenceburg and Rosemary Schuck of Guilford; several nieces and nephews; as well as special friends. In addition to her parents and her husband, Lester Seevers, she was preceded in death by two sons, Mark Alan Seevers and Thomas Paul Seevers; one grandson, Adam Meyer; and three siblings, Rosemary Zimmerman, Joe Lipps, and Celia Neukam.

Friends and family may visit on Saturday, July 12 from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church – Hubbell’s Corner, 12523 N. Dearborn Road, Sunman, IN 47041. Inurnment will follow immediately after in the Evangelical Union Cemetery.
