TYLER, Betty – 92 years of age; Born August 23, 1931; Preceded in death by her parents Orville and Dorothy Hilker, husband William Tyler, son Tim Tyler, sisters Audrey Speier, Regina Boerst, Marilyn Faber and Chrissy Strautman. Survived by children Rindy Phillips, Randy (Jan) Tyler, Kim Hamilton, Carol Bowling, Janie (Dan) Fehr, Lori (Paul) Becker, Lisa Tyler, Brad (Kimberly) Tyler and Chad (Patty) Tyler. 18 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and special friend Theresa Hirschauer. Several nieces and nephews;
Her volunteer activities included: St. Mary’s – St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry, Heart House, her singing “Sunshine Girls”: and sang at area nursing homes. She was a member of Beta Sigma PHI Sorority, and was their “Woman of the Year in 2003”. Visitation will be held at St. Mary’s Church 203 4th Street Aurora Indiana on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Mt. Sinai Cemetery. If so desired, donations may be sent to St. Jude or to Operation Smile.
