Southeastern IN — The area will be under an Elevated Fire Danger this afternoon and early evening.
The National Weather Service says winds out of the south and southwest with gusts up to 30 mph combined with low humidity and dry ground means conditions are right for heightened fire risk.
You’re urged to avoid open burning if possible during the period.
