Columbus, In. — A Columbus area educator has been cleared of any criminal wrongdoing in connection with a shotgun found in his vehicle on school property.
Bartholomew County Prosecutor Bill Nash said he believes there was no criminal intent on the part of teacher Mike Metz when he left the firearm in his vehicle after a hunting excursion last week.
Police say Metz was conciliatory and cooperative at the scene. He will face no other sanctions.
