(St. Leon, IN) – More than 740 items were donated at last Friday’s Harrison-East Central football game at Trojan Field in St. Leon to the survivors of the Maui wildfires.
East Central Student Council spearheaded the donation drive by collecting hygiene items, paper products, infant supplies, and cases of bottled water.
The donated items were picked up at East Central High School on Monday by Matthew 25 Ministries, which drove them to the shipping location.
The items are on their way to Maui.
More than 100 people have been reported dead as a result of the wildfires; 388 people are still unaccounted for.
