The following are girls basketball recaps from Thursday, December 2.
East Central defeated Jennings County 64-50.
The Trojans led 24-5 after the first quarter.
Hope Fox tallied 21 points, six assists, five rebounds and three steals. Laney Baker booked 12 points, five boards and three swipes. Josie Trabel netted 11 points, seven caroms, six steals and three blocks. And Julia Tieman contriubed 10 pointssix assists and five rebounds.
Lawrenceburg fell by 20 to Jeffersonville 44-24.
The 20 point difference can be found in the third quarter where the Red Devils shut out the Tigers 20-0.
Lizzie Redar led LHS with eight points. Kirsten Cross had a team-best seven rebounds and scored five points. The Tigers shot just 15 percent from the field and committed 26 turnovers.
Milan beat Indiana Math and Science 52-24.
It was the second win of the season for the Lady Indians. (Details will be added when received.)
