On Saturday at Richmond, East Central successfully defended its wrestling regional championship. The Trojans took the top spot with 175 points. Centerville was, again, regional runner-up with 112.
Other area team results at Richmond included: Lawrenceburg fourth (67 points), Connersville sixth (49.5), Batesville seventh (49), Greensburg eighth (44), South Dearborn 10th (38), Franklin County 11th (31), Rushville 14th (14) and Milan 18th (0).
Area individual champions were: East Central’s Blake Wolf (126 pounds), Dylan Lengerich (138), Rider Searcy (145), Charlie Euson (160), David Nash (182), Ryan Bovard (195) and Brayden Rouse (220); Lawrenceburg’s Corbin Walston (152) and Jackson Goodall (285) along with Batesville’s Josh Mobley (170).
