At this past weekend’s Great Lakes Valley Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships at the University of Indianapolis, East Central alum Ellie Lengerich won the Pentathlon event for UIndy, setting a new record in the process, posting an overall score of 3,691 in the event. This broke her previous school record she set on January 27th.
During the meet, Lengerich also finished 2nd in the Long Jump with a top mark of 5.62 meters and 4th in the High Jump with a top height of 1.55 meters.
These marks earned her GLVC Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Year honors.
