Dorothy (Murphy) Watson, 88, of Milan passed away Friday, December 2, 2022 at Ripley Crossing. Dorothy was born Monday, December 4, 1933; daughter of Thomas and Carmen (Mason) Murphy. Dorothy married the love of her life, Cranston Watson on November 27, 1950 and preceded her in death on Friday, February 7, 2014. Dorothy worked at Jay-C in Milan for over thirty years. She enjoyed baking, cooking, and mowing the yard. She also enjoyed watching UK Basketball. Dorothy loved Jesus and attending church at West Chester Church of Christ in Ohio. Most of all Dorothy loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Dorothy will be missed by her sons Jeff (Norma) Watson of Milan, Indiana, Keith (Terri) Watson of Bedford, Indiana; daughters Beverly Morris of Batesville, Indiana, Lisa Dyer of Hebron, Kentucky; sister Ina Faye Eads of Franklin, Indiana; as well as ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Carmen Murphy; daughter Teresa Fette; sister MaryAnn Russell; brothers Wesley “Buck” Murphy and Leslie “Dick” Murphy.
Family and friends may gather in remembering Dorothy from 10-12 AM Thursday, December 8, 2022 at the Sibbett-Moore Funeral Home in Moores Hill. A service will immediately follow at 12 PM with Reverend Nathan Battey officiating. Burial will take place in Oakdale Cemetery. Memorials may be given in honor of Dorothy to the Alzheimer Association.
