Donald(Don) Harry Hall


Donald (Don) Harry Hall, of Naples, Florida, formerly of Aurora, IN, passed away at his home in Naples, November 4, 2017. He was preceded in death by his wife Charlotte in 1989 and his oldest brother, Jim Hall. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Judy (late, Jim) Hall of Franklin, IN; sister, Mary (Paul) Allen of North Bend; OH and brother, Jerry (Carol) Hall of Union, KY; plus several nieces, nephews and friends.

In his early years, Don was known as a sharp dresser, the life of the party and the best dancer around, not to mention having the hottest and fastest car in town. He was an avid car buff and loved his prize possession, a 1948 Convertible Oldsmobile.

Don was born, July 27, 1937 in Cleves, OH, son of the late Luther Hall and Melveeta (Thompson) Hall. Due to complications from delivery, Don was under a doctor’s care, with several surgeries for years. Even with this difficult start, he was one of the most popular boys in school. Don was a member of the Aurora Eagles. He later worked at Seagram’s Distillery in Lawrenceburg and retired in 1990, after 36 years and relocated to Naples. He collected Hall’s china.

Friends will be received Tuesday, November 14, 2017, 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, Indiana.

Services will be held at the Funeral Home, at 2:00 pm with Pastor LutherAllen officiating.

Interment will follow in the Mt. Sinai Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana.
