Donald L. “Lou” Pike, 78, of Milan passed away at 6:50 p.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born at Science Hill in Pulaski County, Kentucky on December 30, 1946, the son of Robert and Beatrice Coffman Pike. He was married to Carol Koch and she preceded him in death on August 21,2000. He then married Cynthia Jones and she survives. Other survivors include one son Shawn (Kim) Pike of Batavia, Ohio; one step-daughter Danielle (Jeremy) Stutler of Milan; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; one brother William (Sheila) Pike of Redding, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sisters Jewell Bullock and Norma Jean Jones. Mr. Pike was a 1964 graduate of Pulaski County High School. He enlisted in the United States Air Force on January 19, 1966 and rose to the rank of Sergeant with the 838th Security Air Police. For service to his country Lou received the Good Conduct Medal and was discharged o May 23, 1969. In civilian life he worked as a flame sprayer for General Electric in Cincinnati for over 30 years. Lou enjoyed tending to his yard and garden, playing golf, fishing, hunting, and most of all being with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lou was a member of the Hope Baptist Church. His wishes were to be cremated and a celebration of his life will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 26 at the Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Jeremiah Gabbard officiating. Visitation will also be on Thursday beginning at 5 p.m. Memorials may be given to Come Alive Ministries in care of the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles.
