Donald David Daugherty, 63, of Greensburg, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at his residence. He was born on November 27, 1959, in Bloomington, Illinois, the son of Donald Cornelious and Ruby Jean (Monroe) Daugherty. He was raised in Versailles and has been a Greensburg resident for the past 13 years. Donald graduated from South Ripley High School. He was a truck driver, having worked for M & M Trucking, Sharon Brown Trucking, L. B. Trucking and Raver Ready Mix. He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, and farm auctions. He was a veteran having served with the U.S. Marines. He married Nancy L. Powell on June 3, 2010, in Greensburg and she survives. Other survivors include his son, Donald Frank (Kristy) Daugherty of Houstonville, KY; daughters, Valerie Jean Murphy of Campbellsville, KY, and Jessica Louise (Nathaniel) Mullins of Farmington, Missouri; stepdaughters, Amanda (Scott) Doggett of Rushville, Keri Duncan (Dustin Kinderd) of Columbus, Lisa Duncan (Darren Mokanyak) of Greensburg; sister, Donna Jean Shelton (Kyle R. Wright) of Laurel and his 20 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sons, Robert Barton Daugherty, and Kasten Brock Daugherty; grandsons, Donald Tayler Lee Daugherty, and Tyler Ryan Murphy; brother-in-law, Roger Dale Shelton. A time of visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. with military rites at 4:30 p.m. at the Bass & Gasper Funeral Home in Westport.
