Dolores Anna Elizabeth Henry, age 103 of Greensburg, Indiana passed away Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Our Hospice of South-Central Indiana in Columbus, Indiana. Born June 21, 1921, in Williamstown, Indiana, she is the daughter of William J. and Hilda (Nee: Timke) Bergman Sr. She married Harold W. Henry on November 27, 1941, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Crossroads and he preceded her in death on February 9, 1995. Dolores was a homemaker and a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Batesville, Indiana.
Dolores attended Timke school and was sometimes the only student in her class. She enjoyed playing cards, dancing, spending time in the garden, working with her husband on the farm, and ranger rides with her grandson. Family was her greatest treasure. She found the most joy being Mom, Grandma, and Great Grandma. She will be greatly missed by one and all.
She is survived by her daughter Janet Henry of Greensburg; son and daughter-in-law Robert H. and Janet (Buening) Henry of Batesville; grandson Raymond Harold (Julie) Henry of Greensburg; great grandsons Lane and Samuel Henry of Greensburg; sisters Wilda Jean (Richard) Becker and Geneva (Arlis) Engle, all of Batesville; sister-in-law Dorothy Bergman of Batesville, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers William F. Bergman and Harold F. Bergman.
Visitation is Wednesday, February 12th, 2025, from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m., at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Batesville. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m., at the church, with Rev. Jill Kepler Campbell officiating. The burial will be at Adam’s Lutheran Cemetery.
