(Dearborn County, IN) – A Dillsboro man has been convicted and sentenced on three counts of Intimidation (Level 6 felonies).

Jurors in Dearborn County found Billy Luke guilty last Wednesday on charges stemming from an incident in January in which he threatened corrections officers while he was being held in the county jail.

Luke was sentenced to six-and-a-half years in prison, and that sentence will run consecutively with others he currently is serving.

He was convicted in February of Intimidation in a separate case involving an attorney who was representing him.

Dearborn County Prosecutor Lynn Deddens praised the work of deputy prosecutors Jake Hawkins and Jonathon Kunkel in trying the case and Dearborn County Sheriff’s Detective Gena Allen for her investigation.
